In math. Last class – meaning Tuesday when I had my math exam. Which was easy, might I add. It only had 28 questions…yet they took a while, so don’t go getting all uber jealous on me!! :P

Sooooo…I covered the front of an entire piece of paper with random words that popped into my head that were significant to some degree. It’s sort of a mantra that helps me get inspired – I cover the whole page mostly with the word “inspire.” Some other words on this one were “work,” “live,” “dream,” “create,” “think,” “blend,” etc.

I want Starbucks something bad right now…Java Chip Frappuccino, I bow before thy awesome caffeinated might!!

Got some new songs yesterday:

1) Speed Off Sound: Coldplay

2) Numb/Encore: Linkin Park and Jay-Z

3) Fences: Paramore

4) Born For This: Paramore

5) Momentum: The Hush Sound

6) Everything’s Magic: Angels and Airwaves

7) Addicted: Saving Abel

8) 18 Days: Saving Abel

:D

Born For This and Momentum are both really good and addictive…

Anyway, to get to the real point of this post, I wrote another poem while I was bored in math on the back of my inspiration sheet.

May I just say that the whole “let’s put inspirational energy into a sheet of paper by writing semi-meaningful words” thing doesn’t always work…

I blame my English teacher, because he’s evil and I can. Fear not, readers, for he shall have is own post soon enough…!! >:)

But enough about that (for now). Here’s the worst poem…ON THE INTERNET!!!

Live Die

Dream Cry

Happy Sad

Mellow Mad

Disappoint Excite

Darkness Light

Short Tall

Try Fall

Down Up

Scram S’up

Random Exact

War Pact

Random Sense

Stay Hence

Ugly Cute

Talk Mute

Opposing Same

Lad Dame

Yes No

Dove Crow

Hard Cake

Real Fake

Foe Friend

Beginning…

End.

Yea it sucked, but whatever…I liked “stay hence” the best I think…

And yes, they were all opposites in one way or another, for those of you who read it and were like, “OOH! They were all opposites!! I get it!” Yeah, geniuses – what do you want? A cookie? Well I’m kinda hungry myself come to think of it…

Luna (black kitty) is on the computer desk walking back and forth in from of me (between me and the compy monitor) and is rubbing the length of her back and her head into my face and on my chin.

She is a furry cat! *Achoo!*

Anyway…

Sayoonara!

P.S. I have a head cold – I couldn’t talk when I got up this morning, and my nose is runny. My head hurts too. Ugh.

I am glad some of you liked the last two poems – I didn’t try hard on them, but at the same time I did the best I could possibly muster at the time.

And so, yesterday when I was bored in study hall, I decided to try again, only at the time depressing poems didn’t seem the way to go, but I had absolutely no inspiration.

And so I just…wrote.

Enjoy!

And I want HONEST oppinions! If they suck, then tell me!! Or I’ll never get better!

:)

1) Title: “I’m no writer,” she says.

Words write themselves

travel hidden electric currents

buried between vein and bone

to absorb creativity

spreading the news

speaking patterns

explaining logic to locked away friends

to imprisoned thoughts

too nervous to escape the mind

choosing carefully

for pen is unforgiving

moving like waves

implanting ideas like footprints on sand

made concrete with hand

pushed to smooth power

impulses urged on, ready to make history

strings of letters like

music notes strung on lined sheets

words cling for life to each other

adding sense to none

removing letters, tweaking things into existence

nonsense formed happily

for a select few to understand

read and be inspired they chorus

expressed ideas chanted

screaming to be heard

ebb and flow of life from nothing

insane creativity sprung lose

wanna join?

let go.

2) Title: You never know…

Hidden deep

are ruby treasures

emerald fireworks

sapphire waterfalls

golden spirits’ hope

another world

sparkles excitement

and welcomes

purple tints

coat setting skies

explosions of color

in mouth fulls of

adventurous life

nonsense gripping reality

in a spinning

whirl of joy

intertwined in ecstasy

orange sighs

drift to far away

happenings unknown

mystery ensues

questions clingy

creamy feathers

to mount an escape

imaginary land

makes imagination real

as climbing gray

to reach unscaled heights

of new found glory

wishing whispers

carried on whistling winds

over seas of change

to unpursued idioms

to one another

strangers on camera

silvery famed frame

flight of thousands

to boredom forgotten

tingling sounds

continue on to dawn

changing sweeps hands

miming out feelings

too difficult for

gliding and floating

minds to comprehend

zealous and free

what’s here

explore iciness

clarity overrated

rising stars like

tiny suns of

distant Neverlands

galloping fantasy

losing sight of

marked paths

instinct preoccupied

join in madness

amazing undescribed

words tangled rope

form nonsense

from sureness and ere

release conformity

riding poems  to crazy!

There were no typos, I swear – I checked! Everything typed is how its supposed to be!!

Not Feeling So Happy…. January 21, 2009

So, today in math, I wrote two poems. Yes, they seem emo, and yes, they are not perky or happy or chipper or anything.

!!

But I think they worked well enough…so read on, dear buddies, if you wish…

1)

Safety pin, scissors, razor blade

soda can tab, knife, nail

tools of the trade

sharp pain, ebb and flow

scratching pain, tug

skin removed

torn, jagged bits

patience now

wait for it to come

welcomed pain as

liquid surfaces

stare at the red

oozing crimson

reluctant to show face

to soil skin

to expose lower flesh

but it needs to show

for a release, comfort

edge in a little deeper

dig in a tiny bit more

assist the escape

biting shot

resonating torture

pulsing up and down

pulsing heart

moving more red to the surface

pulsing brain

turns away from a

loving hurt

soft skin make way

give way

move away and

Bleed…

2)

Sit down

brace yourself

the first time’s the hardest

choose wisely

sharp pin

sharp mind

sharp tongue

hold tight

stay quiet

don’t scream

but silent tears

run slowly

mark valleys down

ashen cheeks

flushed face

rising blood

soon to be

free

keep steady

halt nervous nerves

it’s not so difficult

wrist is hard

build up to it

find somewhere more

soft

for now

soft skin

soft voice

soft heart

giving in to metal

caving under cuts

reminding marks

forever scars

yes, there’s good

fleshy arm

hidden by sleeves

from prying eyes

stealthy eyes

hungry and wondering eyes

eyes who haven’t seen

this beauty

of crimson

crawling skyward

heading up to surface

called by biting

pain willingly

tip pressed down

and inward

tug of sharp

pulled across skin

opening crevasses

to deep stores of red

metaphorical lava

showing anger

molten and boiling

release it silently

rage no longer resides

power in secret

pain gained

and lost

thanks to the slash

wash away the past

you’ve made a new

friend

Steel stealing life

I like the second one better. Just felt inspired today I guess…

I want honest opinions on the poetry, no lectures on what it’s about or represents.

Thanks.

“N@ked People Touching God” January 11, 2009

I made a post! Yay!

Had to spell “naked” like that so I don’t have people who were googling “naked people” finding my blog!! You all understand…

I spent 9 hours at the mall yesterday…

Met Kristin there at 2:30, after getting there at 12.

We saw the movie Bride Wars (it was cute, but PG? Litttttllleee sketchy on that rating…), and I got 2 new pairs of earrings! They’re awesome!

AND I GOT A NEW SMEXY HAT! I got it at the store Forever 21, and Krissy and I went in there around 3 different times so I could see if I reaaaallllyyy wanted it. Which I guess I did ’cause I’m wearing it right now! HURRAH!

Krissy then spent the night and we watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail on her iPod ’til her iPod ran out of power just before the Knights who say “ni” got their shrubbery.

We then talked about naked people touching God.

Allow me to explain: we were bored so I complained that my mom wouldn’t let me draw on my ceiling. Kristen then brought up how Michael Angelo painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, to which I replied there was a big difference because I would not be drawing naked people touching God, as in “The Creation of Adam.”

We laughed for about ten minutes until Kristin randomly said she wanted to go karaoke-ing. This, dear Kristin, is not a word, but I would love to go karaoke-ing with you, so call me when that becomes a possibility!

Then I told her about my favorite prayer to occationally say before I eat that I got from a small prayer book that we own that contains prayers from all over the world. my favorite goes like this:

“Oh glorious food, delight of the mouth

Oh much better than gold, masterpiece of Apollo

Oh flower of all fruits

OH RAVISHING MELON.”

I don’t know why I love it but there’s just something about randomly praising the lord for melons that’s funny. I mean, what about those ravishing peaches?! My brothers eventually got fed up with the magical melon, however, and made their own group known as the Aquatic Mangoes. They then proceeded to put a sign on my bedroom door with a picture of a mango underwater that read, “The aquatic mangoes. Prepare for war, mortals!!”

They’re odd little children…

Kristin and I then fell asleep at midnight, woke up at 10:30, violently chopped up strawberries, ate waffles, and drank amazing hot cocoa.

Amen.

Friendship – Kristin January 1, 2009

Sorry Krissy, I know this post is waaaayy overdue!

Now for the second post in the Friendship Series!! :D

Kristin is one of my best friends who I had the pleasure of meeting last year at school in my biology class. We had chosen our own seats on the first day, but then the whole class took one of those “what type of person are you?” tests that say you are logical, or creative, or things like that. After we all had our results our teacher made us switch seats and find someone who was the opposite of whatever we were. Talk about a mad scramble… I was one of the last people who hadn’t found anyone, and Kristin had no one by her, so our teacher asked her what she was, to which she replied she had gotten logical. “What are you?” Mrs. A, our teacher asked me. “Not logical!” I replied, then quickly sat down because I didn’t want to be the last person standing.

I wasn’t thrilled at first, getting stuck by this quiet little girl who seemed to do nothing but read her manga and look quiet.

Once we started talking, however, it turns out even Kristin wasn’t sure ow she had ended up with the result of logical – and after getting to know her I have to agree that the result didn’t exactly fit!

And so I made a friend in biology!

Then I ended up being switched into her P.E. class half-way through the year, and I couldn’t be more happy about it!

Kristin is a very peppy little gal, who loves reading manga, blogging, and drawing. She is…erm…on the…short side…but makes up for that in tons of personality!

Kristin is…

1) sweet as lint chocolate truffles

2) adorable!

3) uber huggable

4) an amazing listener ’cause she doesn’t judge – you can tell her everything and she’ll either be like “OK!” or just ignore you but in a way that makes you not feel ignored or angry! It’s magical…

5) magical. Indeed.

6) cheerful

7) all around awesome!

8) very very bad at spelling…! ^_^

Krissy loves…

1) the color BLUE!

2) the manga Full Metal Alchemist

3) wolves

4) Chic-fil-a sweet tea – she lives on the stuff

5) Mexican food

6) the band The Academy Is…

And her birthday is August 11th.

That’s my buddy Kristin for you!!!
