Why does it always happen that when I have a TON to write about I never can find time?!?! It’s killing me. Once again I have a list of around 6 things on my whiteboard that I need to blog about!

One of them is short, so I’ll do that now while I have a second!

I got the new Three Days Grace CD “Life Starts Now” recently. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s absolutely amazing and awesome and addicting! I highly recommend it!!!

Will post later, I swear!!

I had an amazing time in AP Psychology yesterday! We are currently studying memory, so last class we did some memory exercises for fun.

They went something like this:

1) On a scrap sheet of paper we gad to write down, in order, as many gifts as we could remember from the song “The 12 Days of Christmas.” I got them all correct!

2) Our teacher read out a list of 16 items. She then asked us about our day, what we are doing this weekend, etc, to distract us. Then we had to jot down as many of the words as we could remember. I was one of two people to get all of the words correct.

3) We were given a slip of paper numbered 1-20, and the directions said to listen to our teacher read out 20 odd sentences and put a number 1-5 next to each sentence number depending on how easily you could visualize a picture to accompany the sentence. The sentences were things along the lines of “The green frog jumped into the pool,” “The toothless bathing beauty rarely smiled,” and “The lanky leprechaun wore lavender leotards.”  After we had done this we flipped over the paper and numbered 1-20. The teacher then asked us questions concerning the sentences she’d read. The questions were things such as “Who wore lavender leotards?” etc. We had to answer with the adjective and the noun to have it considered correct. I got all 20 correct. I was the only one to get 20. The second highest score was a 15.

I feel smart. I knew I had a good memory but… I didn’t know it was that good! It was very fun though!

Drowning September 24, 2009

Filed under: Life — airolyn @ 3:14 pm

I am drowning in homework. Soooo much math, and history, and psych, and physics, and Japanese, and…. *Gasps for air!*

I have no time. I have no time to spare thanks to my mounds of homework and multiple crew practices. I just can’t finish this all. I’m in a great mood – I had a good day, etc – but man, I am overwhelmed in homework. Especially Math Analysis (pre-calculus) stuff. HUGE packet due tomorrow. Have I started it…?

Yes!

I have done 2 problems of 100.

Aren’t I the procrastinator….and we’ve had this thing for a week….I’m dead. Luckily I love my teacher! :)

Anyway, I am so sorry to all of you who still read this thing!

I want to post more, you all should know that by now, but junior year is the hardest academic year ever!!!!

Stay tuned to my blog, for it will continue to groooowwwww!!!!!!!!

500 Days of Summer August 22, 2009

So I’m actually posting. Shocker, right?

Well, I just got back from the mall where I saw the new movie “500 Days of Summer.” It was a cute film, probably more of a chick-flick or something to see with your girlfriend/boyfriend than a “I’m a bored and lonely guy seeing a movie” type of thing. The plot was semi-predictable, but it was cute never the less. The acting was good enough to show the necessary amount of emotion that was needed to make the movie enjoyable. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was charming as the hopeless romantic Tom Hansen; he was also quite a cutie! Zooey Deschanel was OK, although she didn’t do much to really make the audience (in my opinion) really remember her as the main female role – Summer Finn.

The story line was sweet with a tiny twist on the classic story idea: Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love. Girl does not. Girl wants to keep things casual. Girl eventually dumps boy. Boy goes crazy and through a period of grief where he believes his life is no longer worth living without this girl who he was positive was “the One.” Boy eventually moves on to implied better things.

Out of 10, with 10 being the most incredible movie I have ever had the honor of viewing and a 1 being I now feel suicidal, I give “500 Days of Summer” a 7.

Hope this was helpful enough to those of you who were debating whether or not this movie was worth the $8 admission’s fee. I say go for it.
